30 Day Challenge: Start!!

So, starting today, due to my ongoing writer's block, I've decided to participate in the 30-day Lolita blogging challenge!! (have you noticed my lack of posts lately? Well, it's because I've been in a bit of a funk lately that'll hopefully be over by the time I'm done with this challenge!) I heard about this challenge from Lolita Charm, and it just seems like such a good idea! The challenge goes as follows:

So, here goes day one: ten things about my Lolita bubble!! I'm not entirely sure what this means, so I'm just going to describe things about my personal style or preferences in Lolita~

1.) I love love LOVE prints with animals on them!! Or, at least, things that resemble animals. You can tell by some of my favorite prints: Milky-Chan, Sugary Carnival, Vanilla-Chan... they're all so cute!! This might be because I love animals so much in real life (especially my darling rat, Harry!!). I swear, if Angelic Pretty ever made a rat and/or mouse print... I'd be in heaven!!

2.) I don't really like shoes with higher heels. That is, I like how they LOOK, but I can't wear them personally. I can go really high with wedges, platforms and even chunkier heels, but if you give me a pair of stilletoes I just teeter over like a tree :P

3.) I've recently come to ADORE Angelic Pretty. When I first got into Lolita, I was all about classic, but I've come to adore sweet just as much, if not more. Of course, I still get all starry-eyed whenever I see a girl wearing Innocent World, but I'm starting to feel like sweet is more ME.

4.) I adore OTT sweet. It's so interesting to look at and examine all the different details of an outfit... but at the same time, I can't stand it when I see a failed OTT outfit!! Like, if somebody doesn't go all-out and half-asses it with maybe two or three bows instead of the dozen usually found in OTT sweet, or one ring and a couple of bracelets... it's all or nothing with OTT!!

5.) I also love fusion styles. Fairy-kei mixed with Lolita and hime with Lolita are my favorites :)

6.) When I first found Lolita, I found out about it through the community and thought that Lolita=black and white maid dresses. In fact, I almost embarrassed myself on my 13th birthday by buying a lace monster with my birthday money but my parents talked me out of it. Thank god, because soon after I discovered real Lolita and became enchanted even more by what the actual style was like!!

7.) I've never been to a local meet-up before, but I'd really like to! With any luck, I'll be able to attend one soon!!

8.) Cardigans are one of my favorite things in Lolita. They look pretty casual, yes, but they're so damn cute!! My favorite outfit combination is probably a jumperskirt with no blouse, tights, shoes and a cardigan. It's cute, comfy, and a little more mature looking than it would be with the blouse, I think. :)

9.) I'd like to wear Lolita most every day, ultimately. I'm glad to say, though, that while wearing Lolita used to be once every other week affair, I can now wear it two or three times a week!! :D

10.) My dream dress at the moment is Milky-chan... but I know I can't fit or afford the real thing so I might be purchasing a replica soon :3

Also, in my coming to terms with my liking cuter styles, I'm going to be giving my blog a makeover. Expect more changes to the layout soon!!
